Paint peeled when removing painters tape

03/25/2009 08:41 AM itzpatricia

I just painted my bathroom and used the blue painters tape. When I went to remove the tape from the wall the next day the paint peeled off in some areas. What is the best and easiest way to fix this problem, and why did the paint peel in the first place.

thanks

There are two blue tapes at least if it is the 3M brand. One is regular blue tape and the other is safe release and that is the one you should have used if putting over fresh paint. I am not sure what you are painting but can you just touch up the peeled spots.
