Based on your conduit size, you can select either #6 or #4 copper THHN conductors for the 2 hots & 1 neutral with a #8 for the equipment ground.

The #6 is good for 65 amps and can be protected at 70 amps, th #4 is good good 85 amps and can be protected by a 90 amp breaker.

In either case, go with a 100 amp panel in the garage. At the garage panel, the neutral bus must be insulated (not in contact with) the sheet metal enclosure and you will need a separate equipment ground bus.

If the garage is not attached to the house, make another post & you'll get additional requirements for your installation.
