I am the inventor of the Laser Arbor patent #US5862727. You can view it on the USPTO site. I wrote by (certified mail) to Ryobi and Sears as far back as the mid to late 90's asking if they were intersted. One response told me to contact them when I had recieved my patent. Well I did but they apparently were not interested. Now Sears has come out with the Laser Trac which is what my patent is for. Since I am just a little guy I do not have the money to fight them. Does anybody have any advice? |

Why not hire a lawyer that will work for a percentage of the "win". They get nothing if you lose. You'll undoubtedly still have to invest a lot of personal time and effort, but this is a possible option. Of course, you'll first have to convince the lawyer that you have a good case - otherwise why would they want to take the case? I hope you have your ducks in a row better than: "as far back as the mid to late 90's" (that's about a 7-year time range!!) "One response told me to contact them when I had recieved my patent" (which one? can you prove it?) "I did but they apparently were not interested" (when, how, proof ?) etc. [This message has been edited by rpxlpx (edited September 27, 2001).] |
