Pedestal on ceramic tile

10/15/2006 12:58 AM erwinsto

I have a few questions. Just finished tiling a small half bath with ceramic. Want to install a pedestal, instructions say to secure at the floor and at the wall. Do I really need to drill two holes through my tile or can I use an adhesive to hold the base? I assume the wall connection needs to be at a stud, or do I need to cut the drywall and install wood between the studs to connect to, or si there another option that avoids drywall patching again? Lastly, when I checked my pedestal without the sink, it is not level. Is that normal or should i take it back and assume it's a defect (and yes, the floor it stands on is level)? Thanks.
