Plastic Heating Pipes

09/10/2001 12:06 PM janice

My father saw a show last week about plastic heating pipes that can withstand heat better than traditional pipes. He did not remember the brand of the pipes. Please advise if anyone saw this show and remembers the brand of pipes and where they can be purchased.
Thank you.

Plastic Heating Pipes

Sorry I did not see the show, but Plastic Pipes are probably made from Cross linked Polyethylene otherwise known as PEX. It does not stand up to heat better than metal piping, but is easier to install and is smoother on the inside for less resistance to flow.
