I just cut a slot on the bandsaw and used a small c-clamp to hold the scratch in place. |

stringing & unplugged |

Hey Rob,
nice going with the stringing!!
you're really going fast with the table!
really liked your trammel-like jig
for the arc!
t-Chiz, thanks for commending my unplugged efforts! it is sure motivating for me :)
I am most worried about planning
everything nice and square as I'm just getting started at it.
LOL I think am going to use the kitchen's cooker (when my GF is not around), no wood stove available (even if this would be really nice for some pizza).

Hey mini-NSBS Rob..........that's excellent work, you're really digg'in. Don't worry about posting pictures, woodworking is about "feel good", and you are feeling "it" right now.. lead the way man.
I'm feeling "it", just watching this effort unfold, imagine that, a forum Chop-Chop'in and less type-type ....SUPER!!!! Although I did notice Chuck and T-Mac added a too-shay to the dimensionality....hehe. |

Hey T-Chiz,
tapering is more fun if the stock is dead square before!
what is this fessstool stuff? some kind of new drink? lol
Hej Neil, Rob is amazing, not only chop chop but also click-click and type-type!
and he's doing great!
Did you see the post of the new guy (Calvin Hobbs I think)?? really nice
stuff there!

Ya Dude... I'm falling behind as well... had some non-table related problems involving 2 front wheel bearings on my truck.... uggg.... why can't you just buy bearings anymore?..... these were the whole hubs and everything, abs sensor, etc.... about $275 each.... ouch... that hurt the budget... but installing them myself helps the cost... but kills the free time for the table stuff...
No worries... I'll catch up
Great work everybody

Chevy? 2500? I had to replace yet another of mine last week as well... I feel your pain, man.

Alright, I finished off the bellflowers tonight. Nice vids T-mac, I now understand what you were talking about for ripping the banding, pretty slick. Guess the next step for me is the banding. |

applied foot question |
04/12/2008 12:22 PM |
paulcomi |
Just wondering about the applied foot moulding around the cuff of the leg. It looks like the moulding is made and then mitered and applied to the leg, but since the leg is tapered on all four sides that makes it a compound miter. Right? What's the procedure for figuring out and cutting those miters? |
