Putting Washer and Dryer Outside

04/21/2002 06:51 PM

We're planning on relocating our Washer and Dryer (stackable) outside in the next few weeks- our contractors are doing all of the plumbing work, but we're looking for advice on how to protect the machines from the elements. We live in Southern California, so we're talking about rain now and then, and sun most of the time. The two alternatives I can see are a wooden shed-like structure, or a waterproof canvas structure. I think I'd prefer a canvas solution, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I can't find a single thing on-line.

Thanks,

Schoon

Well i dont think it would hurt if you would just put a crate or anything to keep it off the ground under it and put a tarp over it.
