IMPORTANT CHANGE

03/26/2008 02:28 PM EliCleveland

Sorry, guys. I messed up one of the numbers. On the finish dimensions, the legs that started at 28 should go to 27. It's the second pair of legs. They are going into the quad tapering jig and it helps if they are still over in length. Eventually they will reach the listed dimension, but not until later.

My bad.

Oops, again

03/30/2008 11:02 AM EliCleveland

The doublers on the rough stock list should be 12 1/2" instead of 11 1/2. Also, the runners, kickers, and doublers should be cut to fit your table. Don't just cut them to the finish dimensions, measure the inside of your table. I don't think it's a big deal if you cut them to the rough dimensions already, but they may end up a little short, but still workable. Worst case is you'd need a little more secondary. My bad, again. I'll triple check next time.

Sorry, guys.

doublers check

Hi Eli

is the finished length of doublers 11 1/2 and not 10 1/2 as in the list (to keep the same 1" reduction in length as in all other elements)?

finish

hey rondo....i think i would wait till i had the table together ...then cut the doublers and kickers to fit....just incase the joinery changes...i know it isnt suppose too...but sometimes it does...mistakes are made...you know what i am sayen....i think if you get your legs ready and mortises done first ..then you can get into the shaping of the legs ...then stringing and bellflowers.so there is allot to do way before we need to worry about those pieces......what do you think of the fan??? your gonna dig that thing!!

Rough Dimensions

04/02/2008 08:46 AM CMiddleton

Eli,

Ken and I will start cutting rough dimenisions tomorrow. Would you mind going over your original cut sheet and make all the changes there? I will print off a new copy before we start in the morning. I know you have been putting a lot of effort into this and I know everyone really appreciates all the work.

The fan looks great.

I of the same opinion of Neil's, I am excited to start this table. After I finish the furniture I am working on now (boring familyroom type furniture), I was going to start a federal card table with bellflowers with stringing and banding, legs are to be tapered with ebonized cuffes and banding. So crazy legs table will work right into the federal card table.

wait till finish

Hey T-Mac!

I was just afraid to have a list with an item too short ;) It is true (sad but true) that s%^t happens!

As I will be really late (moving, finding a new job to join my SO in Paris...), my
table will be done way later than the other guys. So I was just trying to put
the parts toghether mentally (actually in a sheet of paper, I'm not a walking CAD lol) so it's yet another check on the dimensions.

ohhh the fan looks really great!!!

Let the games begin!
