Rafters - angles greater than 60 degrees

Can anyone tell me how to make compound miter cuts on rafters when the angle is greater than 60 degrees?I recently built a prow on a home that had angles greater than 60 degrees. I ended up having to make the cuts with a sawzall because my sliding compound miter saw cannot cut 2x8's with angles greater than 60 degrees. Is there some easy way to do this that I am unaware of?
