I am building a 25 X 30 detached garage with 8 X 12 roof pitch and need advice on foundations: treated lumber (plywood) on gravel vs. poured concrete. The wood is obviously much cheaper, and my township isn't requiring a building permit, so I'm wondering if there are any dangers in going that route over concrete. My house sits on a gravel crawlspace with block concrete footers. I live in north east PA so no extreme temps and decent soil. Any suggestions/feedback appreciated!
