Hi. I have a house that dates back to 1936. All of the walls and ceilings are plaster, which I love. However, the kitchen ceiling continues to develop cracks no matter how often I patch them. I heard that a Bob Villa show once discussed a kind of reinforcing material (something like wallpaper) could be attached to the ceiling then painted over. It would look, in its final form, much like plaster, but would reinforce the original ceiling such that the crack development would slow, if not cease.
Does this sound familiar? I'm interested in investigating this material, but stores like Home Depot don't know what I'm talking about.
Any help you can give me would be much appreicated.
