Replacing Floors

02/21/2006 09:19 AM formutts

I am about to attempt a total renovation of an old trailer. I'll need to tear out all the cabinets, floors, doors and some walls. Can anyone give me advice on the best way to remove the floors? I'll be back for advice on the other projects too. Thanks so much!

removing floors in mobile

do you want to remove all of the floor joists and replace? rot? or? subflooring and replace? or just carpets? or linoleum? We replaced the subfloor in areas that were "puffed" up under windows cause they leaked. we replaced with 3/4 inch plywood.. caulked, filled and then primed with an oil base primer.. then we pulled carpets in living areas.. linoleum in kitch's baths.. replaced living area carpets with the new solid vinyl plank .. peel n stick flooring. looks awesome.. baths had linoleum.. are replacing with porcelain tiles.. new fixtures and vanities.. and lighting.. it is great!.. first time in a moble.. and enjoy the ease of repair .. constant! LOL '79 Marlette .. spring comes the windows all of em. and adding a couple. then glass single french doors.. and then paint the ext with Graphite color and galvanized gutters and skirting. modern this tin can up!! LOL

Awesome - Painting advice

07/19/2008 03:27 PM MobileHome

I just bought a mobile home. I want to paint and find out that a lot of people talk about problems. Do I have to remove the piece of wood between the paneling and refill that with caulking? Is the Sherwin Williams paint better. I'm having the feeling that I'm going to be able to tolerate the pattern, specially in the bathroom. Help. I see that you are positive.
