Presently renovating bathroom and trying to replace an old 110 outlet with a new GFI. Took cover off old
outlet only to see two red wires. Need help to install. Thanks

My guess is that this wired in conduit.

If so you need to trace it back to the source and replace it with a wires with normal color coding.
