Residential Steel Siding

07/01/2007 02:30 PM MIAHomeGuy

I am thinking of putting a steel roof on my garage, does any one have any experience with this? I am thinking about doing this for the looks, low maintenance, and the tax credit for energy star does not hurt either.

Has any one installed a steel roof on a residential building yet? What did you go with?

My local home improvement store (Menards) sells Pro-Snap (made by Midwest Manufacturing). Has any one sued this?

Tax Credit

I would verify this and check all of the links so here and where they go.

First the product needs to be CERTIFIED Energy Star rating (based on radiant heat reflectivity).

And you need to verify that you can get the credit used on a GARAGE and not a HOME.
