I'm installing sure-vent ridge vent on my house ! I know hot air rises threw the eve vents and escapes threw the highest point of the attic which would be the ridge vent except for the fireplace stack which saddles the ridge at an even higher point. I want to vent the fireplace stack with louvered vents which would look good architecturally and give better venting in the highest point of the house. Who's the vent man that can tell me this is a great idea or tell me something i don't know?Thanks for your web site! Jim (Magee's Residential Services)
