We have to replace a roof that currently has shake shingles. The house has a mountain home archetecture style and is located in Denver. We would like to retain the mountain feel of the home, but do not want shake shingles again. (One side of the roof has a steep pitch and sky lights.) The roofing companies we've had quotes from have recommended Eagle tile roofing. We think partly because of the look. However, my web based research is showing there are some big disadvantages: fading, can blow off, breakage, hail damage. Does anyone have any experience with this type of roofing, or any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
