Safe kerosene heaters?

10/06/2006 07:00 PM SandraInTennessee

Hello,

Could someone tell me if kerosene heaters are safe these days? Back when I was a kid, you frequently heard about house fires caused by them. Now I am in a position where I need to buy one. Could anyone recommend a good name brand? Also, is that kerosene alternative, Klean-Heat, a better choice than traditional kerosene?

Thanks!
Sandra

If you are looking to heat a living space or area with power, I would recommend an oil filled electic heater. They are pretty safe. No flame.
