Self contained water system?

02/26/2008 02:52 PM Baylea

We have a small 1/2 bath attached to what the former owners called their Rec Room.
We have never used it. Wanting to fix the area as a guest room, when cleaning the toilet, on the third flush, it leaked around the base. We know it is probably the wax ring but that got us thinking.
After calling the former owner he confirmed what we suspected...the plumbing in the Rec Room was never connected to the septic system.
There is an illegal connection to a sump hole. He said the toilet was not expected to be used for solid waste. Wish we had known that before we installed lots of other things that will make it impossible to connect to the drain line he exited from the building.
Since we do have water to the existing toilet, is there any type of self contained toilet that does use water in the process of disposal?
Appreciate any advice. Thank you.
