My home was built in 1988 and I have lived in it for just over 1 year. I recently had the basement remodeled which included adding a full bathroom, living room and bedroom. Shortly after the construction was completed my wife and I began to notice small cracks around two doors and that the same doors are now out of square. Is it possible that the construction in the basement caused the house to "settle" or "shift"? My wife says during certain portions (the framing, and the installation of the ejector pump) you could literally feel the house shake. Is this something we should be concerned with or should I just fix it and forget it? I would guess its not a big deal since the likely cause is over and done with. Any advice is appreciated thanks...
