I have just had a home inspector tell me that my roof was not in compliance with code. Basically, he told me that the plywood used for sheathing the roof is required to have a small gap in between each sheet. I have spoken with a few contractors and they have said this practice is not always adhered to. Does anyone out there have any idea what long term problems this could cause, if any? Is it something that we should worry about even if the attic is properly ventilated? Thanks! -John [This message has been edited by jcody (edited May 13, 2002).] |
