A neighborhood teen smashed the legs of a lawn chair into the vinyl siding that is the frame of a glass door. The house is brick. The damage is deep, like a hammer bang. It looks like the entire side frame might need to be replaced. And alternative suggestions? Thanks.

Loretta, if the frame can be easily removed then you might be able to use a block of wood on the backside and hammer the dent out. If this doesn't work, then possibly installing a thin strip of wood on the back around the dent will straighten it once re-installed. Good luck!
