Can a section of subfloor (OSB boards) be replaced without compromising the structural integrity of the home? The area is several boards long running next to an outside wall (only the garage is on the other side, the area is above the outer edge of the basement.) Would reinforcing new boards from underneath where they meet be sufficient (since they wouldn't be tongue and groove)? Could the boards be cut out within inches of the outside wall? |
