Well...Here goes. My house was built in 1955 with Slick plaster walls. The walls are in perfect shape. This year I have had a problem with one bathroom's paint peeling. I had a painter to come in and use kilz(sp) and then painted. In a month the paint was peeling off....I know the question will come ...it was oil paint on oil paint....Now since the summer has started I have noticed my bathromm is starting to sweat. It is all over the room. There is a exhaust fan in the bathroom installed in the ceiling. The bathroom is used only for cosmetic needs...not baths or showers... Now in the last few days the slick portion of the plaster has starting coming off. I noticed last evening that my hallway about a foot from the ceiling is starting to sweat. Can anyone tell me what is going on...The temp's in NC have been in the high 90's to 115 with the heat index. Please note** the bathroom in question does NOT have a vent for the a/c....any suggestions will be considered. |
