If you are looking to rip a lot of material for shelving, cross cutting lengths and making a limited number of miter cuts than get a table saw. If however you are planning on doing a lot of moulding, frames, etc than you need a miter saw. I would suggest that you get the best table saw that you can afford, don't forget to look in the classifieds or yard sales for used equipment. You may be able to find both for what you would pay for the table saw new. |
