I have no idea of your abilities but I would think it would usually be a job most reasonable handy homeowners could do.
There is no service manual for that exact model of dryer AFAIK but there is one for Whirlpool's Duet dryer which is their equivalent of the Kenmore "HE3". That manual can be seen at the following link:
