Hi jrj423. My name is Keesha and I work for TimberTech. After reviewing your comments, I think that timthecontractor may be correct to assume that this could be improper installation. Our Floorizon product does have special installation instructions including a minimum of 12" high unobstructed continuous airspace along three sides of the deck for proper ventilation.

In some cases, people installing the decking may be unaware of the special installation instructions that go along with Floorizon. I assure you that we make every effort to provide installation resources, primarily through our website and literature. We also have field trainings with contractors to show proper installation of TimberTech products.

I have found that what some might consider a product problem is actually an installation problem and has nothing to do with the quality of the product. We have thorough quality checks that occur before our products are allowed out the door. Since we only make the products, we have no control over the people installing the products. The next step you may want to take is to contact the person who installed your decking.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
