Does anyone know what type of tool works best for this? I've been told a pipecutter or a hacksaw. Pipecutters are a bit pricey and hacksaws seem like an awful lot of work. |

Dear WOAM, You can buy a Sawzall reciprocating saw for $ 100.00 or so that will do the job and save it for later projects. The saw is versatile and durable. Len |

If you plan ahead and do all your measuring in advance, you can then go rent a pipe cutter (or other tool) for 1/2-day and not spend a fortune doing it. You can make your cuts and then return the tool to the rental place. |

I had a steel fence post between two garages. There was only room to stand sideways. I used a dremel while balancing on one foot. Slightly acrobatic, but it did the job!!! |
