Trimming those cabinet sides...yikes!

05/08/2008 12:28 AM paulcomi

Chizz-I think I was more nervous than you when I saw you fire up that skilsaw and cut away the waste on those sides. Man! Can you imagine if this was the one time in your life you sneezed??? Amazing how clipping off those ears changed the look of that Bombe. Seeing you use a chisel freehand was a surprise. I would have reached for a plane but that's my lack of skill paring with a chisel.

i am a nut...some times i have more confidence with old habits..i thought about a jig saw ..then a hand saw .but i KNEW both of those would tear the inside face of the desk....and i never would get it out....so i reached for my handi-dandi skill saw....no problem ...i was way of the line anyways....whats up with your table....still obsessed with the "new" car project??

table

Until yesterday I couldn't see clearly out of my left eye-yeah...car related. I was putting a new muffler on a weekend car and a piece of soot went right into my eye.

I feel better today so I'm going to get working on it. Frankly when I'm not doing any woodworking I get depressed and I need my shop time.

I also was pretty nervous seeing you pull out that skill saw. I was hinking I'm glad that's not me.

Looking forward to the rest of the series!
