I am building a Tudor style country club with stone, stucco, and half-timber framing (applied)

There is controversy over the size and style of the columns on the upper veranda that faces the golf course. I have pictures posted on my website at http://www.charlesmichaelmitchell.com.

We have reworked one set from 16" square to 14" square. Keep in mind the wood beams are 16" also making it difficult to "trim out".

Any suggestions out there?

The brackets on the columns will be continous at double and triple columns.
No trim has been specified at the column bases either. Suggestions on that are welcome

ahh tudor had limited ideals in its half timbered beasts. the columns should prob be square and at the most have a little 45 or something. if you can send me a proper elevation i can make a suggestion.
