For DIY, I agree with dr home. If you will have them installed then another option is a local window company. Be careful here though!! Shop around!!! If any salesman turns on the high pressure (deal only good today, etc) then go somewhere else. Do your homework!!!! Check references. About 10 years ago we had vinyl/aluminum custom installed. They were warranteed for life. They inside vinyl had a woodgrain look. After a couple of years, a lock broke. The company installed a new one for free. We moved 6 years ago, but the windows still look good (we drive past once in a while). Even had a garden box installed in one window - Beautiful!!! Friends used the same company. Their windows are 9 1/2 years old and no problems at all. We found the company at the summer Homerama show. |
