Our mason unfortunately was unable to finish the 30 x 36 foot foundation before winter hit our area in Northeast PA. Almost all of the walls are up. However, the mason left the concrete block walls exposed to the rain and snow on top before the "deck" could be put on the foundation. Will the snow and ice inside the concrete blocks expand and crack the block work if left uncovered or doesn't it matter? Should I tell him to cover the cores of the block with a cover or a long piece of 4 x10 wood to protect the walls? Thanks, Ed P. |
