I had a mirror mosaic put up in my house (see the attached picture). Pieces of mirror were cut and glued to the wall. After the pieces were in place the spaces between the mirror pieces were grouted. When the grout was removed it appears to have bled into the mirror pieces. From far away the wall looks great, but close up the grout has left the mirror smeared and discolored (looks unclean). Does anyone have any suggestion and/or solutions to correct this problem maybe restore the mirror and remove the stains? Or, can you offer any suggestion on what I could do to cover the mirror, but still maintain the mirrored wall look - for example is there some type of glaze or gloss that can be applied to the wall?
I was thinking of maybe painting the wall with crackle glaze - to give a more broken look while covering up the discoloration. Does anyone have any suggestion regarding this approach? |
