Recently we had a new 2 piece tub installed. A "Friend" came and did the initial wallboard removal so that we could get the old unit out and the new one in. With that being done we are now ready to re-install wallboard. The "Friend" was supposed to return to re-install. Same old story .... friend has disappeared. So a few questions. We will be using greenboard. When we make the cuts should we put the manufactured edge onto the lip of the enclosure? Exactly how do we attach the green board? Do we use wallboard nails/screws and how close to the enclosure do we install the nails/screws? At the outter edges of the enclosure where it actually rounds from the top edge to the side edge do we just fill in that one little area with mud ? Is there anything we need to do to seal the edges that will be at the top and sides of the enclosure where the enclosure and wallboard meet? One last question is there a special rust resistant nail/screw we should be using since it is a high humidity area ?
Thanks for your time and advice. |
