What to do, what to do? Replace paneling or what?

My husband and I just bought a mobile home and we were going to paint the paneling but the paneling is so old (older than 80 I think) that it just started to bubble up. So should we just try to replace all of it or wallpaper it or what? We just replaced all the carpet and our ceiling needs to be replaced also. We were thinking of drywall even though we know we cannot move it. It's so old that I doubt we will anyway. We will probably save up for a down payment on a newer model. The cabinets are drooping and pulling the ceiling down. We were thinking of tearing them down as well. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Don't replace

I wallpapered over some bad panelling using a textured wallpaper and it's great. It was too white so I softened it by sponge painting it a soft sand ... i also used fabric on a wall -- applied it with starch--because I liked it. dry wall means following up with another application and it sounds as if you have enough to do.

Age only matters if you're cheese.
