I am getting ready to replace the air filter on our central heating/ac unit, but am not sure if I should go with an electronic filter or a passive filter. Seems like each 'expert' I talk to from my local heating/ac companies just push whatever they sell. My house is 3600 sq ft, 5 brs, gas heat, shedding dog. Any recommendations? Does anyone do independent evaluations?
