I'm looking to buy a nailer & compressor for general use but would also like to use it for installing a hardwood floor. Is this possible and if so can you recommend which type is suitable, ..framing, finishing etc.& what size compressor will do? Can you use a brad nailer fitted with nails (something i read!)? Thanks! |

For installing a 3/4" hardwood floor you need a special air gun or hand nailer and mallet. You need a framing nailer for framing, and a finish gun for finishing, you can use a brad nailer for some finishing provided it shoots long enough brads. Stay away from the oilless compressors as they are noisey. A small pancake will drive the finishing guns, but you need somethin larger for the framing guns. |
