You might also look at Fuel Cells. They use natural gas and down at the electron level convert it electricity. I bought some land that was landlocked and no utility easement. The other landowner wanted $12,000 for the right to bury electric, water and phone!! I had access easement to drive in only. I investigated all of this stuff and ended up paying him. Windmills and the batteries and switches seemed like a pain to maintain. However, I think in 5 years you'll be able to buy a fuel cell that will power your house with just LP or nat. gas. alot more efficiently than a generator. |
