Windows insulation

11/21/2001 09:52 AM homeowner

Hello,
I am noticing severe condensation on many of my windows inside the house and sometimes to the extent of dripping water all around the window frames since temperatures started dropping below 40 degrees this year.
My question is why is this happening suddenly this year.
How can I prevent it/ WHat kind of insulation do I need to buy to prevent

Thanks

A lot of questions come to mind. How old is your house & when were windows installed. Are they double pane? Do you have a humidifier on your heating system. Could be too much moisture in home. Anything you may be doing different now that could cause excess moisture? Sounds like this problem has just started? Maybe a dehumidifier would help.
