I am in the process of looking for a home to purchase. I will be a first time home owner, and I live in Florida. I was wondering what are the common views on wood home construction VS concrete home contruction in my area of the U.S.? There are many Southern wooden homes here, but because of termites, would I be better off purchasing a concrete/block home? I have been looking into homes built with in the last 20 years.
