I have a light switch that controls 2 outside security lights. I want to add a second switch in another part of the house. What do I need to do?

The best way (easiest and cheapest) is to go and get a wireless 3-way kit. The kit consists of a switch you use in place of the one you already have, plus another you can locate anywhere you want.

Essentially, the 2 switches talk to each other via wireless signal the replacement switch installs just like the one you have, wire for wire. The other one uses a 9v battery. Usually you can set a code between the two so you can have other 3-way situations and each signal can be different. Also, some kits will allow you to add multiple switches, so, in your case, you could add multiple switches for your security lights all over the home, without the need for running any additional wire.

Most home stores carry these items, but If you have difficulty, check specialty electrical stores in your area or on-line.
