I am planning to attach a patio cover to over my patio. I want to attached it to the exterior stucoo wall so that there will be no water running down the wall. How do I attach the studs/woods to the stucco exterior? Are there special anchors or nails that I should use? Must I nail or anchor to the studs of the wall frame, if so, is a stud finder capable of locating studs through the exterior stucco? Please Help.
