whut up cliff.....welcome bro...not that i make allot of doors but here goes.....before i glue the door i make sure i mill the wood properly..you know rough mill ...then i give the stuff plenty of time to move ....i make sure i sticker the pieces ..i think i let that stuff sit for a few days....then i finish mill ..again making sure the individual pieces are flat ....i made sure the mortise was cleaned out and the tenon was dead on.(maybe too tight) i really had a tough time with the glue up......after i glued and clamped ...i made sure the doors were sitting flat on the clamp bar...i took all the tension off ..i really cranked to close the joints...i knew not to leave that much pressure on the doors(they will curl-or twist) so then after a while i took them out of the clamps and clamped them to my bench....i kept them clamped to a flat surface when i wasent working on them...i find it very helpful to do this...with all my work...i always sticker and when i need i clamp things flat....well i hope this helped....i hope you stay around..maybe do project #2 its pretty fun....i just finished up ...my girlfriend made it too....thanks again!!
