Hi corvette, Forget about going 'by date' to determine what the cut-off is for asbestos-related products. Products are STILL made w/them today, although it's not done in a way that it would be 'hazardous'. You could start by hiring an Asbestos Abatement contractor to perform a thorough inspection. Some 'situations', are not a problem; others are. If you know of a product that was once (or is) made w/asbestos, you can have a sample tested. Again, contact an Abatement Contractor. This is the SAFEST advice. Asbestos is found in flooring, paint, insulation, siding, only to name a few. My best to ya and hope this helps. Jay J -Moderator PS: God Bless America! |
