I have asbestos laced vinyl tiles and i want to lay ceramic tile down. I dont think the floor is perfectly even (under the vinyl) so i would be putting down a self leveling compound. Can i just use the self leveling compound to cover the vinyl tile and even out the floor at the same time or do i need to have an asbestos remover pull up the vinyl tiles and then lay down the leveling compound afterwards?
