baseboard heating system maintainence

10/21/2005 10:04 AM user001

We have baseboard heating in our home. In addition to the boiler/furnace being serviced each winter, is it necessary to flush out the heating pipes of their old water and fill them with clean water each season? The technician did not mention this, but I was wondering if the pipes might get damaged with old water remaining in the system - kind of like flushing the cooling system in a car every two years. thanks for replies....
