Just a few other thoughts. Since you have 4 acres to play with, you have a lot of room for improvements. Contact a reputable local contractor. They will usually come out and give you ballpark figures as well as do's and don'ts. Since you are on a computer, why not get a home archeticure program an play with it. You can build your home and add on to it as well as see it in 3D. I use one of these programs constantly in my renovation projects and they work very well for my customers.
