bathroom countor tops

09/04/2007 03:55 PM ginam78

I had laminaite on my bathroom countors and pulled it all off and sanded it. It is pressed board. Can I stain it then put polyurethane on top to seal. Or just put polyurethane to seal. I know I will have to put alot on, but just want to know if this will work.

countertops...

What you describe is probably not a good idea. The reason I say this is because the press-board typically used for cabinetry is really crummy stuff. Not suitable for presentation, as it were.

I think you'd be better off tiling it, or going for some other better looking alternative...good luck
