My wife and I have had the same problem although not as often. We bought this house about 10 years ago and over those 10 years we've had 3 bats get into the house, the most recent being last week. I called a pest control company and they came over and checked the attic and around the house, and found nothing to indicate a nest inside the house. So they are getting in by mistake. Apparently they only need a 1/4 of an inch opening to get through. If there is not a nest somewhere in your house and they are getting in because they are out flying around and feeding, you need to check around your house, inside and out, to see if you can find an opening somewhere roof, siding, chimmy etc. What I've been doing is closing certain doors inside, exc. basement door(where I think there coming from in my particular case). It's a matter of elimination. Once you've found where there getting in then you can block off the hole. So hang in there , you're not they only family going through this, and good luck. I'll keep you posted. [This message has been edited by jedramsay (edited August 20, 2002).]
