can you tell me how old this washer is?

12/07/2007 02:22 PM sdward

we are currently purchasing a house and the owners left a washer and dryer for us and said we could purchase them if we wanted. the washer has these numbers under the lid: 110.24642300 and serial number: CS0433242. Currently the washer is messed up. the safety switch needs to be replaced. Can you advise on how to fix that and how much. I can not find the part because im unsure of the model # and year. Thanks for all your help.

You can date your appliances using the service at the following link:

** the washer safety switch needs to be replaced. **

The LID switch???

** I can not find the part because I'm unsure of the model # and year. **

You don't need to know the year to get a replacement parts for appliances and you posted the model number above (110...) which is all that should be needed (besides which part is required). The other number you posted is the serial number. (BTW. It should have said "model" and "serial" right on the tag they were printed on).

JFYI
