I am wishing to replace the carpeting that is in my above-the-ground basement. There is currently and indoor/outdoor carpet glued to the concrete floor. I am curious to know if I must remove that first, or if I could just possibly carpet over it?

you need to pull up the old carpet,i assume it's glued down,start in a corner and pull up an edge,with any luck it should come up , if not it's time to get out the scraper.
